Eltigani Agribusiness Consultancy
With over 40 years of experience in veterinary sciences, livestock development, and agribusiness transformation across the MENA and African regions, I have dedicated my career to advancing sustainable food systems and empowering rural economies. I pioneered innovations in dairy and livestock production, and led Alrawabi Dairy to become the largest dairy company in the UAE. My journey continues in public service as I now serve as the Minister of Animal Resources and Fisheries in Sudan.

STRATEGIC VISION

Animal Production Free Zone Cities
As Minister, my commitment is to rebuild and revitalize Sudan’s livestock and fisheries sectors through a bold and integrated national strategy that aligns with post-war recovery, food security, economic diversification, and rural development.
Establish a fully serviced Animal Production Free Zone City in every state in Sudan.
Each zone will include livestock markets, veterinary services, processing facilities (meat, leather, dairy), feed plants, and a biogas station.
These zones will follow a cluster-based approach to link pastoralists, farmers, and exporters with value chains.

Roads, Cargo, and Railway Network
Build a national road and cargo railway network to connect:
-
Western Sudan (Darfur, Kordofan)
-
Northern region (Dongola, Halfa)
-
Central Sudan (Gezira, White Nile)
-
Eastern region (Kassala, Gedaref)
All routes will converge at Port Sudan, enabling export logistics.

Export Expansion to GCC & COMESA

Promote Sudan as a key exporter of halal-certified livestock, meat, dairy, and fish products to:
-
GCC countries (Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, etc.)
-
COMESA countries (Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, etc.)
-
Comply with international standards through national reference labs, cold chain infrastructure, and ISO/IEC 17025 certification centers.

Research, Sustainability, Innovation

-
Build on recommendations from Brazilian President Lula da Silva’s Zero Hunger initiative.
-
Mobilize investment in veterinary research, climate-resilient grazing systems, clean energy, and water harvesting (e.g., covered sand dams and liners).
-
Expand aquaculture, apiculture (beekeeping), and wildlife management.

Empower Local Communities

-
Adopt out-grower contract models for smallholder inclusion in supply chains.
-
Establish training academies and digital knowledge-sharing platforms.
-
Empower women and youth through cooperatives, microfinance, and production training.
